Yukon Spring Inc. is proud to provide Whitehorse, and the Yukon, with bottled natural spring water since it's inception in 1988. Back then it started as a small family business, and today it is still owned by the same family. Currently the company is run by Tara Sheridan, who is the daughter of the company's founder, Paul Sheridan.
Tara continues to ensure the business is a family affair; by involving her family and ensuring that her employees are treated like family. The company utilizes a mixture of technology and old fashioned hard work for its three full-time, and two part-time employees to supply a quality product and service.
Today bottled water is everywhere, but it's not all the same. Some companies filter tap water, but at Yukon Spring we utilize natural springs on the property to provide a unique product to our customers.
Our water starts high in the Yukon Mountains and as it travels underground to the spring, it picks up natural minerals and deposits that are unique to the Yukon, giving it a distinctive and refreshing taste. When we advertise "A taste of the Yukon", we really mean it! The water is filtered and ozonated to remove any impurities and then bottled. The geography gives its taste, but it's the pride and beauty of the Yukon that inspired the label design.
Since Tara's acquisition of the business the focus has become revitalizing customer service and ensuring that customers are satisfied. There have been many challenges, but Tara and her team continue to tackle them one-by-one to improve a crucial aspect of the business and ensure future success.
We constantly strive and are committed to providing outstanding customer service and a superior product.
Any business wouldn't exist without customers, and the better we understand our customers, the better service we can deliver. If we're failing in an aspect, it's our job to have the sometimes difficult, conversation with customers to find out why they are unhappy with our service or product. We then need to find a way to validate the concern, rectify the issue, and evaluate to ensure improvements have been achieved.
At Yukon Spring we consider our job done when a customer is willing to recommend us to their friends, family, or co-workers.
No customer is the same; their needs, perspectives, and priorities are all different and the only way to understand them is through communication. We've been working to solicit feedback to identify meaningful opportunities for improvement. This doesn't stop once the low hanging fruit has been picked; we will strive to make adjustments to our procedures and operations to continually delight customers.
We believe that by providing a high-quality product paired with superior customer service, we will be able to cultivate long-term relationships that provide the stability and familiarity that Yukoners desire.
When it comes to our operations, we try not to re-invent the wheel. We look for best practices across various industries, work to understand why they are in place and work, then take lessons that have been learned and apply them to our business.
As a family-owned company we believe in honesty, integrity, and respect. We believe in developing relationships with our customers and are fortunate to be connected to so many people through our product. Our customers deserve the best job that we can do and the best quality product because we would never want to disappoint our family of customers, suppliers, and employees.
We Aim to Excel
We aren't perfect; no company is. What sets us apart is our insatiable desire to improve. We aim to deliver a quality product without cutting corners through streamlining our processes to increase efficiency. We aim to resolve problems in a timely manner, for a small business with limited staff that's not always easy; but we acknowledge our errors, honour our commitments, and are honest with customers.
